What the ICP™ platform is

The Insulative Ceramic Particle (ICP™) is a patented ceramic additive engineered into every NanoTech Materials coating. Instead of sitting on the surface the way a reflective pigment does, the particle is distributed through the coating film itself, so the cured membrane rejects heat as a material property rather than as a surface finish. That is the distinction between heat rejection and heat reflection: a reflective coating works only while its surface stays bright, while an ICP™ coating keeps working as the surface weathers and collects dirt. TIME named the technology one of its Best Inventions of 2024.

One platform carries three coating systems. Cool Roof Coat applies it to commercial roofing, where the CRRC aged solar reflectance and SRI ratings describe performance after three years of field exposure. Wildfire Shield applies it to exterior wood, rejecting radiant heat while bonding to the substrate, non-sacrificial, with no intumescence, tested to ASTM E84, E119, E162, and E662. Cool Touch applies it to industrial equipment, supporting OSHA and NACE compliant touch temperatures cited against ASTM C1057 and NACE TM21423, with corrosion performance tested to ISO 9227 and ISO 12944.
