NanoTech is seeking a highly driven Business Developer (Energy Efficiency & Industrial Focus) to aggressively expand market share across the East Coast and adjacent markets.
This is a true hunter role focused on new business acquisition, pipeline generation, and closing opportunities across manufacturing, institutional, and industrial environments.
You will be responsible for building relationships from the ground up, identifying high-value opportunities, and converting them into long-term revenue streams.
Location: East Coast (DC / Mid-Atlantic / Midwest Preferred)

Regional Focus – Energy Efficiency & Industrial Applications
This role is centered around:
Manufacturing facilities
Universities and healthcare systems
HVAC / air-handling / cooling systems
Government and energy efficiency programs
Preferred exposure to:
Energy efficiency solutions / ESCO environments
Mechanical systems / HVAC infrastructure
Facility operations or building systems
What you will do
- Prospect, develop, and close new business across target markets
- Build relationships with facility owners, operators, contractors, and partners
- Identify project opportunities through field engagement and site visits
- Drive adoption of NanoTech technologies across multiple applications
- Manage full sales cycle: lead generation → close
- Maintain pipeline discipline, forecasting, and CRM accuracy
- Represent NanoTech in industry events and customer engagements
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years in business development, technical sales, or related roles
- Proven ability to generate new business (hunter mentality required)
- Experience in energy efficiency, HVAC, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Strong communication and closing skills
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, startup environment
Preferred
- Mechanical / engineering background
- Experience with thermal systems, facility optimization, or energy solutions
